Robert James Woolsey Jr. was a distinguished American lawyer and national security specialist who held some of the highest posts in the U.S. intelligence and defense establishments. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Woolsey earned his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and was selected as a Rhodes Scholar, studying at Oxford University before attending Yale Law School.
