Their Story

Ivan Fiel da Silva, better known as Brasão, was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a forward. He received the nickname "Brasão" (meaning big ember) in childhood because he was tall and fiery like a coal. Over a career spanning more than two decades, Brasão began his career at Flamengo in 2002 and went on to become a prominent figure in Brazilian football. He consolidated his career in the football of Santa Catarina, where he became beloved by local communities. His time at Santa Cruz in 2010 is considered one of the most memorable periods of his career, and he won the Campeonato Goiano in 2010 with Atlético-GO and the Serie B of the Campeonato Catarinense in 2014 with Inter de Lages. At 44 years old, he was living in Tubarão, Santa Catarina, when he was shot to death in a bar in the early morning hours of June 19, 2026.
