Emanuel Jesus Bonfim Evaristo, known throughout his playing career as Manú, was a talented Portuguese professional footballer who played primarily as a right winger. Born in Setúbal, he developed his craft through youth formations at several clubs before launching his professional career at FC Alverca in 2001, where he remained a central figure through the early 2000s. Over his distinguished career, Manú represented numerous clubs across Europe and beyond, including major Portuguese sides Benfica, Marítimo, and Estrela da Amadora, as well as teams in Italy, Greece, Poland, and China. He competed in 130 Primeira Liga matches, scoring 13 goals and providing 31 assists for Portuguese clubs. One of the highlights of his career came in 2011 when he played a crucial role in Legia Warsaw's Polish Cup triumph, contributing a goal in the final penalty shootout victory against Lech Poznań. Manú's versatility and dedication to the game earned him respect across multiple leagues and countries, making him a journeyman professional admired for his work ethic and commitment.
