Elsa Irma Aguirre Juárez (25 September 1930 – 15 July 2026) was a Mexican actress. At age 14, while still in secondary school, she won a beauty contest organized by CLASA Films Mundiales, launching her acting career with her film debut in El sexo fuerte (1945), directed by Emilio Gómez Muriel, where she appeared alongside her sister Alma Rosa. Her work in more than 40 films and telenovelas earned her multiple accolades, such as the Golden Ariel for her outstanding cinematographic career and a Luna del Auditorio for her life in entertainment. During the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, Elsa Aguirre participated in more than 40 cinematographic productions, working alongside major stars of the era. Her television work began in 1989 with telenovelas including "Una mujer" and "Lo blanco y lo negro," and she concluded her nearly 60-year career with the 2004 production "Belinda" on TV Azteca. Throughout her life, she practiced yoga for more than 50 years.
