Their Story
Costantino "Tino" Conti was an accomplished Italian cyclist who represented his country at the 1968 Summer Olympics in the individual road race. After competing as an amateur, including winning two gold medals at the 1967 Mediterranean Games in Tunisia, he turned professional and enjoyed a successful career spanning over a decade through the 1970s. Among his notable achievements was earning a bronze medal at the 1976 World Road Race Championships, a prestigious honor that cemented his standing among Europe's elite cyclists. He competed in the Tour de France twice, in 1970 and 1971, and achieved podium finishes in several major races throughout his career. Conti won numerous one-day classics and stage races, including the Tre Valli Varesine, the GP Industria e Commercio di Prato (twice), the Giro di Toscana, and the Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria, demonstrating his versatility and consistency as a road racer during an era of intense competition in professional cycling.
