Vladyslav Duyun was a Ukrainian professional footballer who held Russian citizenship and enjoyed a distinguished 30-year career playing in Eastern European football. Born in Izmail, Ukraine in 1977, he began his professional journey during the transformative era of post-Soviet Russian football, making his Russian Premier League debut in 1996 for FC Spartak Moscow. He was part of the historic Spartak squad that won the championship that same year, marking an early achievement in his career during the league's formative years. Throughout his career, Duyun played for numerous clubs across Russia and Ukraine, including FC Rostov (formerly Rostselmash), FC Baltika Kaliningrad, and FC Vityaz Podolsk, primarily as a midfielder. He competed at various levels of professional football, from the Russian Premier League to regional divisions. Duyun's legacy encompasses over three decades of dedicated service to football in Eastern Europe. He passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 49, following a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer that lasted approximately eighteen months.
