Their Story

Jayden Oswin Adams was a talented South African midfielder who rose from humble beginnings in Cloetesville to become one of his nation's brightest football prospects. He developed through Stellenbosch FC's academy, becoming the club's first academy graduate to sign a professional contract in August 2020. Over several seasons at Stellenbosch, Adams established himself as a skilled defensive midfielder and versatile winger, helping the club achieve significant success including winning the Carling Knockout Cup. In January 2025, Adams joined Mamelodi Sundowns, one of Africa's premier clubs, where he quickly became an important contributor. In his first season, he helped Sundowns win both the South African Premiership and the CAF Champions League. His performances earned him recognition at international level, and he made his debut for Bafana Bafana in 2022. Despite facing a difficult period in his international career that included a disciplinary issue, Adams recovered to become a trusted member of the national team. Adams' finest achievement came at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he played in all three of South Africa's group matches, helping his country reach the knockout stage for the first time in the nation's history. He performed with distinction at the tournament despite the profound personal tragedy of losing his grandmother, Marianna Adams, just before one of his matches.
